Privacy Policy
Polygons Arts ("we") makes apps and games. This policy has a general part, for this website and for contacting us, and a part for each product. In short: your files never leave your computer, and we collect only what is needed to run accounts and licenses.
Products: Nexus Asset Vault.
General
1. This website
polygonsarts.com has no accounts, no advertising, no tracking cookies and no analytics. It remembers the color theme you pick in your own browser only. Like any website, the server that delivers it (Cloudflare) sees your IP address and browser details for each request, to deliver the page and protect it from attacks.
2. When you write to us
Email you send to our addresses is forwarded to our mailbox. We use it only to answer you and keep it as long as needed for that.
3. What we never do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not use advertising or tracking in our products or on this website.
4. Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare — domain name service, this website, file downloads and forwarding of email sent to our addresses.
- Vultr — hosts our license server and its backups.
- A payment provider, once paid plans go on sale; this policy will name it then.
5. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it by writing to nexus@polygonsarts.com. For an account, write from the account's email address.
6. Children
Our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the product before they take effect.
Nexus Asset Vault
N1. Using the app without an account
The free version works without an account and does not send us your files, file names or usage. Two things do reach the internet:
- Update check. Each time the launcher starts it asks our server whether a newer version exists. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and the app version.
- Website icons. When you save a web link in the app, its small icon is fetched from Google's favicon service, which receives the link's domain name.
N2. With an account
When you sign in to use a paid plan, our server stores:
- Your email address and a hash of your password (we never store the password itself).
- A device identifier — a one-way hash computed from your computer's hardware — and the computer's name. It lets an account be active on one computer at a time.
- The IP address and time of the last sign-in or license renewal from each device.
- Your plan and the licenses issued (version, date, expiry).
- Fingerprints (hashes) of the app's own program files and of its runtime, with the runtime's version, sent with sign-ins and renewals to detect modified copies. These are the app's files, not yours.
N3. Problem reports
If you send a report from the app — or agree to send one after an error — we receive your message, an optional contact address and, unless you untick it, technical details: app version and build, plan, operating system, the error and the app's recent log. The log can contain names of files or folders the app was working with. We use reports only to fix problems and answer you.
N4. AI features
AI tools use your own API key with the provider you choose (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or Alibaba Cloud). Requests go directly from your computer to that provider; we do not see them. The provider's own privacy policy applies.
N5. Your files
We do not upload, scan or look at your files or libraries.
N6. Why we use this information
To create and secure your account, issue and renew licenses, enforce the one-device rule, prevent fraud and tampering, deliver updates, answer support requests and keep the service running.
N7. How long we keep it
- Account, device and license records: while your account exists.
- Problem reports: until they are resolved and no longer needed.
- Server backups: replaced daily, the oldest are deleted after 14 days. Deleted data disappears from backups within 14 days.
- Web server logs (IP addresses of requests): rotated and overwritten automatically.
N8. Data on your computer
The app keeps your sign-in and license in %LOCALAPPDATA%\NexusAssetVault and its settings and downloaded plan features in its own profile folder. Signing out removes the session; uninstalling the app can remove these folders.
